What Workspace is for
A conversation is good for messages. A Workspace is better for project files, documents and shared working material. The important design choice is separation from the chat timeline.
Chat/file separation
Workspace uses the protected media transfer system while keeping file presentation and lifecycle separate from ordinary chat publication.
Authenticated access
The application contains durable authenticated sessions, workspace records and identity/session consistency checks. Protected media can therefore be tied to an authenticated session rather than trusting transient browser state.
Storage and limits
The billing/entitlement layer contains storage, file, Workspace and concurrent-upload limits. Public limits are shown by the live service and account plan.
Why Workspace is separate
Workspace is designed for files that belong to a working context rather than the conversation timeline. The application keeps the upload flow separate from ordinary chat publication, so saving a file to Workspace does not automatically mean posting that file into the main chat.
Encrypted storage workflow
Supported Workspace transfers use the encrypted media transport layer with transfer descriptors, authenticated access, quotas and deletion controls. The browser handles the protected file envelope while the service manages transfer state and storage access.
Useful Workspace workflows
Use Workspace for documents being reviewed, reference files, media you need during a project, or material that should remain available without creating a new chat message. When the file becomes relevant to a conversation, publish it intentionally rather than accidentally.
